Raffles Bali’s First Turtle Release, A Landmark in Conservation

Raffles Bali, the renowned luxury resort committed to sustainability and embracing the Tri Hita Karana concept, proudly announces the successful unveiling of its first turtle release. This significant event marks a milestone in the resort’s ongoing conservation efforts.

The journey began when the dedicated team at Raffles Bali discovered a nest of turtle eggs close to the pristine secluded Jimbaran beach. Recognizing the importance of safeguarding these precious eggs, the Raffles Bali Heartists sprang into action. They constructed a meticulously crafted turtle hatchery made entirely of sustainable bamboo, carefully placed on the beach to ensure the eggs remained safe from the reach of monitor lizards.

On the eventful day of May 22, 2023, the team at Raffles Bali discovered the turtle eggs and embarked on a mission to nurture and protect them until the time was right for their release. Weeks of unwavering dedication, round-the-clock monitoring, and expert care were invested to ensure the turtles’ well-being.

Finally, on July 11, 2023, a joyous occasion unfolded as the first batch of turtles hatched and made their way back to the sea. The heartfelt efforts of the Raffles Bali Heartists culminated in a triumphant release, symbolizing a significant step forward in the preservation of these magnificent creatures.

Raffles Bali took pride in extending an invitation to its esteemed guests to join this momentous turtle release activity.
