Celebrating Festive with Fresh and Sustainable Culinary Experiences

The festive season is fast approaching and this means indulging in luxury culinary events to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. A range of curated menus from lavish brunches to indulgent dinners have been perfected and are ready to delight even the most discerning of culinary connoisseurs. For well-travelled guests coming exclusively for the experience and also those staying at Raffles Bali Resort, unique culinary journeys for Christmas and New Year at Rumari and Loloan Beach Bar and Grill will be the highlights of the season.

Focusing on combining the highest quality produce from within Indonesia with select imported ingredients, Rumari will be hosting a Christmas Brunch, Christmas Dinner, and New Year’s Dinner for the most refined epicureans. Plentiful, sustainable fresh produce from Bali and the fertile archipelago of Indonesia are the stars of these menus in line with the passion and dedication to sustainability of Chef Gaetan Biesuz and Chef Agung.

Beginning with Christmas Eve at Loloan Beach Bar and Grill, in-house guests will exclusively enjoy a casual fine dining experience featuring delicious local tuna otoro, the finest Rougier foie gras, tender Hokkaido scallops, perfectly prepared black cod, and succulent veal tenderloin. The setting on the private white sand beach is both idyllic and a unique way to spend Christmas Eve in the tropics.

Continuing the culinary journey, Christmas Day sees Rumari hosting a festive brunch from 12 until 4pm. Guests can expect a smorgasbord of culinary excellence with a unique selection of lavish Chef’s Creations and Southeast Asian favourites, including a gourmet selection of truffle croissants, artisanal European cheeses, plated degustation desserts, and festive amuse-bouche topped with the finest wine and Krug champagne for Christmas toasts.

Christmas Dinner at Rumari will be a delight to culinary aficionados, beginning with Sulawesi yellowfin tuna otoro. Alaskan king crab, and gourmet Rougier foie gras, a favourite of Chef Biesuz, follow. Hokkaido scallops are highlighted with bright corn, jamon, and tangy chili, while the depth of flavours of Wagyu beef tenderloin pairs beautifully with heirloom beetroot and winter black truffles. Mont Blanc cake with fragrant Papuan vanilla is the most festive of finishes.

To usher in the new year in style, Rumari will be the most idyllic setting. With views over Jimbaran Bay, the last sunset of 2022 will indulge the eyes as sumptuous dishes gratify the taste buds. Beautiful tuna otoro pairs perfectly with the richness of local avocado and the tang of Indonesian pomelo. Rougie Foie Gras with mango, raspberry and unique Balinese long pepper is next, with citrus-forward king crab following. Opulent Boston lobster will please the most discerning palates, and then Wagyu beef tenderloin with chestnut espuma, porcini, and winter black truffles will give you a taste of the festivities in the northern hemisphere. Finish the evening with tangy passion fruit yuzu, complemented with Valrhona white chocolate and the Southeast Asian tastes of coconut and ginger.
